A Leg Up ~ Dog Walking and Pet Sitting
Cat Visits
Sure, our name suggests the canine end of things, so to speak, but there's no reason you wouldn't want to call the city's most trusted name in pet care to give your feline everything it needs while you're away.

Why does my cat need a sitter?
While the term "cat nap" didn't come from nowhere - cats sleep a good two-thirds of the day, and while they may be one of the more independent pets, they still have very specific needs. Not that we need to tell you that - every cat owner knows a thing or two about how accomplished a cat can be at getting her way. Ensuring that fresh water and food are available as well as a clean litter is part of our responsibility - but equally important is providing the love and attention you're not able to while you're away.

Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you provide?
We provide cat visits as regularly as you require. Whether twice daily or every-other day, we'll ensure that the litter is refreshed, there is ample food and water and we'll clean up any accidents that may have occurred. We'll clean bowls and any medications your cat is taking will be administered at the time of the visits.
Is that all?
No. We're also happy to bring in mail, rotate lights, open and close drapes and give your home that lived-in look. And if you have any plants, we'll water them too.
How long will you visit?
While you decide how often you'd like us to come, we find that our half-hour visit is more than enough time to give your feline friend the comfort she's looking for.
Who will visit?
One of A Leg Up's trained, professional pet caregivers will look after your pet according to your instructions and wished. Our bonded, insured and pet first aid accredited professionals will follow a detailed procedure they've performed many times, taking into account the specific needs of your home and your cat.
Why A Leg Up and why in my home?
Wow. You really ask all the right questions. Well, cats are particular creatures - creatures of routine and domain. Being able to leave your cat at home reduces any mental stress on your pet that moving to a new location might cause. And using A Leg Up reduces your stress that you may have imposed too many times on your Aunt Gertrude. You can also have the assurance that you know someone is keeping an eye on the place while you're away.
What do I do if I want to book?
Before we accept any bookings we will carry out a free pet consultation. This gives you an opportunity to meet us and us to meet you and your pets. It will take about 15-20 minutes and we will go through details such as character, hiding places, feeding requirements, and your special requests. This will allow us to provide the highest level of care in your absence. At this time, we'll collect a spare key.

24 hours notice of cancellation is required to avoid a fee.
